CHAPTER ONE:
NAME, HEAD OFFICE, AREA OF INTERVENTIONS AND DURATION.MISSION AND OBJECTIVES.
Article 1: The name.
The signatory members of the present Statutes create a Rwandan non-governmental organization called ISTIQAMA RWANDA
Article 2: The Head Office
The Head office of the ISTIQAMA RWANDA is based in the City of Kigali, Kicukiro district and Kigarama sector. It may be transferred to any other place of the Republic of Rwanda upon the decision of the General Assembly
Article 3: The duration and region of activities The ISTIQAMA RWANDA is created for an undetermined duration. The ISTIQAMA RWANDA shall operate throughout the territory of the Republic of Rwanda. It may also extend its activities to any other country belonging to the same Regional Community as Rwanda, by decision of the General assembly.
Article 4 Mission. The ISTIQAMA RWANDA is in the category of public interest as defined by law. The mission of the organization is to contribute to the promotion of sustainable and inclusive development within the Rwandan Community.
Article 5 Objectives The overall objectives of ISTIQAMA RWANDA is to promote the welfare of Rwandese, to promote thew Omani culture within Oman citizens living in Rwanda. Its specific objectives: Participate in the construction program of school centres and health centres in Rwanda.Support aid programs with school materials needed for orphans and students from poor families.Organize and promote the sportive activities in Rwanda.Support the drinking water distribution program in rural regions.Provide necessary basic equipment to the population victims of natural disasters.Strengthen modern agriculture of fruits and beekeeping as well as the installation of small factories to process their productions.
Chapter II: PROPERTY
Article 6: Component of Property The ISTIQAMA RWANDA may own either in possession, ownership or rent, all movable and immovable property necessary to the achievement of its objectives.
Article 7: Source of the property The ISTIQAMA RWANDA’s property comes from donations, legacies, members contributions, various subsidies and other own incomes.
Article 8: Property Management The assets of ISTIQAMA RWANDA are managed and controlled in accordance with the organisation’s manual of procedures with particular regard to the management of finances and other property of the organisation.
CHAPTER III: MEMBERS SECTION
I: CATEGORIES OF MEMBERS
Article 9: Categories of members The ISTIQAMA RWANDA is composed of three categories of members, namely:
1. The founding members;
2. The adhering members;
3. The members of honor
Article 10: Founding members Is the founding member any person who signed the statutes of ISTIQAMA RWANDA during its creation.
Article 11: Adhering Members The adhering member is any person who, having made his application to join the ISTIQAMA RWANDA has subscribed to the present statutes under conditions established by the internal rules and has been admitted by the General Assembly.
Article 12: Active members The founding members and the adhering members are active members.
Article 12: Honorary Members An honorary member is any individual or legal person who, without the active member quality, provides moral, financial and/or material support to the ISTIQAMA RWANDA. The honorary members are chosen by the General Assembly according to the procedures defined by the Internal rules.
